Printer Driver for HP LaserJet Pro M12w Not Working

The main driver file for HP LaserJet Pro M12w is "hp_LJPM11-M13_Full_Solution-v20180815-10229428.exe". If running it just results in it extracting/unpacking the files then stop progressing...  do this:

1. Create a new folder anywhere and copypaste the file "hp_LJPM11-M13_Full_Solution-v20180815-10229428.exe" into that new folder

2. Use WinRAR to unpack the contents of that file into the same folder

3. Run HpSetup.exe

4. If printer not yet configured and PC still lack the printer driver: Select the 1st option "Configure to print over the Wireless Network"

  • Important: Printer and PC must (a) be using the same WIFI protocol (802.11b/g/n); and (b) be within range of the router to get a good strong WIFI signal
  • Software will prompt you to connect PC to printer using USB cable
  • Software will autodetect the SSIDs (WIFI name)... just pick the WIFI using protocol 802.11b/g/n
  • Software will prompt you to enter the WIFI password
  • Software will prompt you when it attempts to connect the PC to printer via WIFI (as compared to connecting via USB cable initially)
  • End of the day, your printer will now be detectable with its own WIFI name "HP-Print-6B-LaserJet M12"
  • Make printer driver "HP LaserJet Pro M12w" your default printer
  • Any printjobs... just send it to this printer driver to be printed

5. Suppose you want to allow more PCs to send printjobs to this newly-configured printer:

On the new PC, do steps 1-3, then select the 3rd option: "Connect to a configured Wireless Network Printer".
